Important Rule
If a test or questionnaire is provided during the sessions, please note that if it is not returned, the process may become slower, and additional single sessions may be needed to compensate for the delay with the questionnaires.
First Session
This first session is designed to create a safe, respectful, and supportive space before approaching any sensitive material.
I’m happy to see you are taking care of yourself. There are many options available and many roadmaps that can support people with difficult experiences.
If, after we meet in the first session, you feel comfortable continuing with this roadmap, we may begin assessing your life history to look for signs of difficult sexual experiences that could be limiting your relationship with your body in the present.
This only happens if you feel comfortable. If you do not feel ready to continue, you can cancel and receive the price for the rest of the sessions in the package back. You will not be asked to explain your reasons.
In this session, we will focus on:
-
Creating a safe and grounded therapeutic environment
-
Checking that you feel emotionally and physically safe in the present moment
-
Discussing your preferred grounding techniques and self-care practices
-
Identifying any immediate concerns before approaching traumatic material
-
Exploring whether there is enough support and stability to continue the process
-
Assessing, only if appropriate and comfortable for you, whether past difficult sexual experiences may be affecting your current relationship with your body
Safety and Support
Confidence and trust are essential when working with such a sensitive topic.
Before moving into any trauma-related material, I will make sure that you have grounding tools and preferred self-care strategies available. It is important to check that you are safe, supported, and emotionally prepared while we work with potentially traumatic memories.
Due to regulations related to online therapy, I may ask for the number of your local health provider or a family member. This extra precaution is a professional boundary designed to support your safety while navigating difficult memories.
Before proceeding with trauma-focused work, we will first address any prior concerns, such as:
-
A lack of grounding activities
-
A lack of supporting context
-
Any other concern that may need attention first
We will only proceed with working on the trauma if the conditions are adequate and the situation allows room for it.
Second Session
After the initial assessments are complete, I will gather any missing details needed to develop an assessment and a personalized clinical recommendation based on the experiences you have chosen to share.
