Individual Sexual Counseling is a brief program designed to help individuals understand the origins of their sexual, emotional, or relational difficulties.
Sexual distress can often have different causes: psychological, relational, educational, or organic. Through a space for empathetic and professional listening, the program helps clarify the issue and identify the most appropriate treatment.
This program is recommended, for example, for:
-
performance anxiety;
-
heat of desire;
-
orgasmic difficulties;
-
doubts about one's sexuality;
-
pain or discomfort during intimacy;
-
relational or communication difficulties.
How the Process Works
Session 1 – Listening and Welcoming
Time dedicated to listening to the person, their history, and the difficulties brought to the session.
Sessions 2–3 – Anamnesis and In-Depth Analysis
Exploration of the person's relational, emotional, and sexual history through targeted questions and clinical insights.
Final Session – Feedback and Orientation
Sharing of what emerged during the process, defining the nature of the problem, and evaluating possible next steps.
Possible Outcomes of the Process
At the end of the consultation, the person may:
-
begin sexual therapy;
-
be referred to other specialists (gynecologist, andrologist, endocrinologist, psychotherapist, etc.);
-
have already resolved or clarified their difficulty thanks to the psychoeducational process undertaken.
Goal of the Program
To help individuals understand themselves and their sexual experiences, and to find greater serenity and awareness in their intimacy.
